A new payment system was introduced in Debrecen`s underground garages from May 10. 2010. Drivers are able to pay using their cellphones.
First you have to register on www.fizessenmobillal.hu website or at the customer services of the EME company (First Mobile Payment Clearing Co.) or you can do so calling the +36 1 999 6100 telephone number.
First you have to follow the conventional method and take the parking ticket at the entrance of the garage and send an sms to the number visible on the ticket before leaving the garage. Then the system will deduct the amount from your telephone.
Those underground garages which ones belongs to the Municipiality of Debrecen or the local public transport company uses the system. The Kolcsey Centre, Bethlen street and the Court underground garages were added to the system from May 10.
Already loads of drivers using the system on ground parking lots adding 4-5 million forints to the public transport company`s budget.
